I've recently seen a few Catherine Cookson adaptations. Dramas set in early 1900s in Newcastle. They're brilliant. I've seen several now, but I'd definately recomend "The Fifteen Steets", that's brilliant.

Well I would have thought some of you would have heard of her. I suppose it depends if you've seen or read an adaptation though.
