1)a small fraction of their population hold a majority of the votes eh? then there's something wrong with the democracy over there ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 2)they can't even use it for research into human exploration of mars... 3)it said no to the kyoto treaty then went out and made it's own, maybe it's just that the government of america think they own the world? 4)it can't be a very strong freedom of information act if 40 year old documents are only just being released... 5)NASA's been very backwards with the shuttle... they got rid of some safety systems that would have saved the challenger crew because the weight would lower their profits... meh, the gun laws are still psycho ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) any idiot can get a gun (if you deny it look at verginia tech or the NASA labs shooting) and america believing they control the world is pretty bad too, look at the nuclear non-profileration treaty, it basically says "no one can have nuclear weapons, except america" they made north korea sign it recently and give up it's nuke... and the nuclear sheild in europe to protect america, typical "i'm alright jack, pull the ladder up"

1. Kansas is a small fraction of the population. I don't think you understand.
2. I just looked it up. The Democrats did that, d**n them. They are still allowed to do anything including unmanned missions and the designing of a colony is still allowed, just not the operation of a manned mission itself.
3. King of sounds like the League of Nations. America just would rather call the shots on how something is done rather than agree with a precedent set by someone else.
4. Hardly 40. More like 20. And the freedom of information act applies to things from the modern day, the old documents are only classified military ones that if released would provide all-to-recent tactical information to our enemies. You need to draw the line somewhere.
5. Lowering their profits doesn't make sense. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
Nothing could have saved them once the outer casing was ruptured, the reaction was too rapid.
6. I agree.
7. Well America has treaties with many countries that do not want or need to develop nuclear weapons that promises retaliation on their enemies if they are nuked. The system has become too regulated to let just anybody have nuclear weapons.

1)whatever ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) the other arguments are more fun than this one... 2)designing a colony but not being able to build one would be worse than nothing at all though ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 3)Yes, america would rather call the shots, because they can't stand some other country setting something they have to follow... 4)You said some of the cold war documents are only just being released, cold war, 40 years ago... 5)There was enough time for challenger, if they had the safety systems the shuttle was originally designed with they could have lived, they scrapped those safety systems so the cargo bay could be bigger and hence they could get more money, they put money over life too much in america for my tastes... 6)Yay! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 7)America just expects everyone should get rid of their nukes, russia, korea, china, india, iran... but america never really plans to get rid of their own... instead they build more...

Hah.
2. No; designing a colony allows all the necessary technology to be ready when the time comes that they may undergo the mission.
3. Exactly. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
4. The Cold War ended 17 years ago.
5. They also could have coated the inner side of the spacecraft with industrial sized pillows and laminated them. They just weren't practical for the budget and time limit.
6. ;D
7. No we don't.

1) meh 2) but they can't use the funding to design the colony so there'ld have to be some guy in the corner using donations to design it ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 3)that's pretty big-headed of america though isn't it? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 4)*checks* so it did... but it wasn't very cold warry then ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) 5)but the safety systems were originally designed into it... then removed in construction 6)another argument in agreement 7)but then why have they made the nuclear non profileration treaty and expect the other nations to sign it and get rid of their nukes? and why did this topic go from blessing jamzinia to america fights again? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

You didn't win any of those and you know it.
Also, saying that it's still going but saying nothing else about it counts as a fail.
