The charts shall be updated on Fridays, and shall consist of songs performed by either yourself or a friend, whilst ensuring you have sought neccesary permission.
Citizens decide upon the standings of the chart by casting 'points', in a similar fashion to Eurovision (and Microvision). Each citizen is eligable (though not forced) to award 5 points to their favourite act, 4 points to their second favourite and 3 points to their third favourite. They are not required to award anymore than the first five points to their favourite act if they don't wish to do so. Once a song has entered the charts, it shall remain in there and shall not be withdrawn unless it's performer requests for it to be taken out. As the chart is updated each Friday, the points must be cast before 7PM that Friday for them to be counted that week. Should they be recieved after that time it shall be classed as the next week's points. Songs must be entered before 7PM on the Friday in order for them to be entered into the comming week.
The points are never reset to nero, and are constantly running - with new points each week being added to the previous week's points to result in the overall points that shall decide the position of the charts.
New songs are announced at the same time as that weeks results are announced on Fridays.
Obviously we aren't expecting too many songs to be entered throughout the year but at least we're giving you the chance to enter a song if you so wish. It should also be interesting during both Christmas Time and Founders Day - Time, where the 'top spot' will hopefully be highly in demand. Particularily the Christmas one.
I do hope some of you will give it a go at least! It's all for fun after all! I'm working on a song that should be ready for August
There shall be a certificate sent to the owner of the song at No.1 at Christmas, which shall be posted to them (providing they wish to disclose their postal address) congratulating them for their achievement.
