Welcome to the first show, hopefully of many, of The Politics Show. The Politics Show was suggested by Elizabeth Stevens with a view to promoting open political discussion and debate among MPs, whilst allowing someone "non-political" to ask the questions.
In this, our first show, we welcome the newly elected Prime Minister, Josh Spangle, and his predecessor Keith Colley. Remember, this is a talk show, so guests are equally able to ask myself, the host, questions, during it.
I'd like to begin the show by asking the Prime Minister the following question, which was put forward by Conservative leader, Azzoria;
How was it possible that the Anarchist Fascists, a brand new party without a well established platform, won the election?

Hello James and thank you for inviting me.
*bows*
I'ld like to start by saying that Anarchistic Fascist party isn't exactly a new party, It has been around for almost two years now, It's in power in New-Empire and was in power in Nova England until recently when we were voted out.
And with your platform comment I must quote this from the MRLP "Fight on an invisible platform and no one can see the floors in your plan". Sometimes a platform can do more harm than good if thrown out quickly, Our platform gently established itself through question and answer rather than patched together quickly.

Thank you Prime Minister. On a personal note, I'd like to also put forward a responce to that question in saying that Spangle as a person was much more well known in Jamzinia than the other candidates and this, in my opinion, along with the length of time Spangle spends on these boards, also helped the AF's win the election.
Prime Minister, The AF's primary policy is that there are no laws until someone steps out of line, how do you see this fitting in with the strong outlines of the legal system outlined in The Judiciary Systems Act?

Af believes that Laws are not necessary until needed, The Judiciary Systems Act means they are needed by, well, law... And most laws in this day and age make very small changes very small changes are easy to justify as needed ;D

What stance does the AFP have on the proposals to scrap, or significantly reduce the currency on the forums, in the recent Conservative economic reform proposals?

The Currency system on the forum is commonly known to boost activity, Many people try to divert energy from activity to culture this seems to be a good idea but when you have activity you also have culture in around the same amount as if people stopped posting and worked on culture as ideas are developed by multiple minds they also get done quicker. So the simple question of activity vs culture becomes activity and culture versus culture, which really becomes little of a question to ask.

So in general you would be against the conservative proposal to remove the forum currency completely? How would you feel about the proposal to reduce the ammount awarded per post?

I would in general be against removal of the money for posts idea completely as I believe it would have detremental effects on activity but reduction might be valid...

Ok, now moving on to an issue that has been somewhat of a hot potato for general discussion lately; Kieran. Having left twice, resigned from government twice, asked to return three times, and more recently claimed to have been hacked, what is your opinion on allowing him to return?

Ah, a very big current debate...
Well I think every member is an important member, He should be the benefit of the doubt, I have consulted some technical experts (The members of #micronations[http://www.lemuria-nation.net/chat/]) on weither such a situation could happen and they assure me that it might be possible. In the end it's all innocent until proven guilty is it not?
And should Guilty the verdict be, Guilt will eat away inside...

Indeed. Though how does Kieran's track record of disputes and drama affect the likelihood he is speaking the truth? Although it must be stated his desire to return has been very high indeed.

No one would post so much of their desire to come back just to not come back...

So, as PM, you're opinon is that we should give him another (possibly final) chance?

Yes, Three strikes and you're out and all would make it probably his last chance, but if he changes his password and keeps it hidden the cousin incident shouldn't happen again

A question from me now, if you please.
Prime Minister Spangle, what is your stand on allowing new members in unconditionally versus testing or restricting them in some manner, such as a lower status of citizenry upon entry?
