The prize money at the end of the season will make a huge difference to how the league shapes up in terms of richness;
JPL Champions - JD$15,000,000 JPL Runners-Up - JD$7,000,000 3rd - JD$4,000,000 4th - JD$3,500,000 5th - JD$3,250,000 6th -JD$3,00,000 7th -JD$2,750,000
The Klemmen Cup Winners - JD$4,500,000
The JFA Cup Winners - JD$6,500,000
Obviously the more money a team has, the better players they can afford, etc.

The JFA Cup is a much larger and more important competition.

Not in terms of size, in terms of importance. The JFA cup winners play the league runners up for the 2nd Champions League spot. The difference is abit like the Carling Cup and The FA Cup in real life, the FA Cup is viewed as a more important competition.

Yeah, exactly. It's vital for the 4 top teams to take it very seriously as it provides an extra safety net for CL qualification.
