It's here again! Hurrah! The much anticipated and talked about Microvision. This edition of Microvision sees last time's winners Houland hosting the competition. The edition is the sixth in it's history, spanning back to June 2006. As always, this edition of Microvision was met with a good reception seeing 9 nations enter; Gaia, Mandoria, Oscland, Jamzinia, New-Empire, Greenuk, Craiteland, Bobalania, and Vlatana. Jamzinia's entry this time round is "How to save a life" by The Fray, a Piano Rock Band. This will be the third time Jamzinia has entered, although yet to win the competition, Jamzinia has never fallen bellow a final position of 3rd, a remarkable record. The first saw Jamzinia finish joint first, loosing out to New Brittania on secondary points. This competition sees no entry from Numenor (New Brittania) for the first time in the history of the competition. Numenor (NB) currently hold the best all time record of Microvision, racking up the most points out of all nations in the history of the competition. King James I has presided over the entries of three different nations in three different contests - one being the afforementioned Jamzinia another being Calundy. Calundy also reached a respectable 2nd place loosing out again to New Brittania by 1 point, and finally Houland, the victors of the last edition of Microvision, which saw a record 27 points tally. Jamzinia finished third in that contest, yet surprisingly broke it's own points record with a smashing 24 points, behind Numenor's (New Brittania) 25.
This edition is all but over, with only one nation, Bobalania, left to vote. So far, things are looking extremely good for Jamzinia who are leading the chase with 19 points followed by New-Empire on 18 points, so lets all keep our fingers crossed for the first Jamzinian win in the history of the competition! A victory would be huge for Jamzinia, as the winner of the competition sees them host the next one, which in this case will work out to be June 2007 - The first anniversary of Microvision!
Jamzinia's votes this time round saw 5 points awarded to Mandoria, 4 points awarded to Oscland, 3 points awarded to Craiteland, 2 points awarded to Gaia, and 1 point awarded to New-Empire. Five of the Nine nations entered can still mathmatically win the competition, although New-Empire, and Jamzinia lead the chase with superior points tallys.
Good luck to everyone still in the hunt for first place, but lets hope we can pull this one off with a superb win!
