Exactly what the topic says. Which era of times gone by is your favourite? and if you could choose to live in any era now, which would it be?
I suppose for me, it would be either the Victorian period, or in the 1940s. Though the victorian period would probably take first preference. The morals and attitudes facinate me, particularily as almost all are now non existant in modern society. Sometimes I wish we would look to some of the Victorian attitudes more, the apparent respect and decorum each person displayed has now seemingly ceased to exist in today's world. It just seemed 'propper'.

For me it would have to be between Roman era Because of there attention to detail and there ability to succeed in almost anything they wanted. Or possibly Norman england as apparently my family where quite powerful back then.

Yeah, I love watching Fred Dibnah's programmes on History on SKY, they are mainly about that kinda thing. I've been doing around 1700s for part of my History A Level too.

1990s. I know it's not long ago but still it's the past afterall! I do like the 1940s Britain and 1960s America too.

Then read a good book... just read it through and see what questions it raises then try and find a book to answer them. and repeat.
