I've had some what of a brain wave in coming up with a potential new way to reward honoured citizens. I'd like to propose that we look into making pin badges of the Jamzinian lion to award to honoured recievers of the Jamzinian Lion Order. The pin would be sent out to all current, and future holders of the Lion Order, and would be known as "The Lion". I am more than happy to fund the whole project, it's the least I can do in rewarding our most loyal citizens. In a sence, it's comparable to the Blue Peter badge, in creating a sentimental piece that can be worn with pride and treasured by all. I am going to look into the idea further, but at the moment I can not see the price for producing the badges being huge. Which would be a huge plus. What are your opinions on this?post

I like it. I get the first badge because I got the first award. Maybe the badge should be numbered and one a year is presented?

Absolutely fantastic idea, if it's possible that is. I'd also like the recepiant's name to be on the badge, again if possible.

or the details could be printed on a certificate with the badge

That's a good alternative. It would be nice for a certificate to be presented in any case, it's nice to have both.

Yes, there's no reason why we couldn't really.

Sending a certificate would cost about 20p

Nothing really, especially considering how often they are needed. Honours are worked for.

That extra reminder of why you should feel proud, you're helping to build something that other people appreciate.

And if we can get the same number of posts today, tomorrow, then we will see another record broken! Our highest ever monthly post count! It would be a fantastic way to start 2008. From now on, the only way is up.

Good to hear! Let's smash this record into space! I should be on from 3ish, and if any of the other regulars are reading this, try to make that extra effort in logging in and constructively posting along with some general chit-chat (In the off-topic areas) to help us in breaking this record!
