Ok I recieved an email from the admin of the NF board this morning that was forwarded to all members, It seems bad news, but I'm really not sure. It read -
Dear all,
I receive your message this morning, and I would like to answer you (with all my apologizes due my bad english).
We have founded N.F.-Board for all the FA non affiliated in Fifa in the World :
FA representing Nations, Ethnies, Isolated Territories. We also have a project for a FA for Apatrids...
We also accept some serious "Micronations". They must have they own juridical existence with legal Status. And also for their Football federations. For example : Sealand and Saugeais are "Associated Members" of the N.F.-Board.
We have some contacts with Leothuania and also Gulating and Minerva.
So, when your FA (Football Association is the generic international code for a Football Fédération), you can ask your membership. We have some projects for a competition especialy for Micronations.
All the friendly matches are possible versus each of our members.
The perticipation in the VIVA World Cup is opened for "Visitor FA", members of the N.F.-Board, or having a wild card. In future, we'll have some preliminaries rounds, because we need to select the best teams.
And we'll use the World Ranking "Roon-ba" for this.
Thanks to give me all your coordinates (phone and exact addresses), and we'll keep contact.
Cordialy yours,
Jean-Luc Kit
Secretary General N.F.-Board
He also replied to me and Craitman on the forum,
Warm greetings
"I have sent its intentions to secretariat:"
I'm presuming this means he has forwarded our request to the secretary.
Now on the topic of the email I receieved, he did mention only accepting 'serious micronations' with a legal status such as 'Sealand'. This doesn't look good. However he did mention the contacts the NF board had with Leo's Leothuania. I'll see what your responce is to this and we'll go from there.
I have been thinking of what we were to do if our application was turned down; maybe we could try appealing to begin with - convincing them that we are communities that hold a flag and anthem (as in one of the criteria) and that we are serious. If this fails I wonder whether we could propose that we be allowed into a 'qualifiying round' to prove we are good enough. However, I really wouldn't want to propose this as any more than a last resort.
Thoughts on this? and our next step of action?
