What Is Simulated Jamzinia?

Simulated Jamzinia is the fictional aspects of micronationalism that we participate in as a pastime, purely for enjoyment. The nation of Jamzinia is not strictly limited to the simulationist aspects of nationhood. These actions and events taking place do not affect the nation of Jamzinia in reality, nor do they dictate our intentions in the real world. Participation in micronational simulation is a small aspect of fiction. Almost like an online, and less restricted version of Age Of The Empires , just as civilizations are included in that, it doesn't mean that they are strictly simulationist and do not exist in real life, the same goes for Jamzinia. Events on Micras, and posted in this section of the forum are complete separate to those posted elsewhere on the forum. This area is for fictional items. Jamzinia as a whole is real.

Therefore all items, societies, declarations and intentions posted in this area are strictly simulationist. For example, the Jamzinian Atos Aeronautics & Space Society deal in aeronautics & space in the fictional Atos system, and do not deal in real world aeronautics & space.

The government of Jamzinia deal in only the real aspects of micronationalism and nationhood.

There are so many aspects to simulated Jamzinia. The boundaries stretch to the limits of your imagination. Undoubtedly this is one of the many reasons why so many people in micronationalism choose to actively participate in this area, and enjoy it so thoroughly.

King James, I know that this may upset you a little but I will say it anyway. I feel that the simulated side of macronations is pointless and ultimately fruitless. I feel that it is created and evolved by nations that are 'one man band' nations with no citizens and deep down they know they can never succeed at creating a REAL micronation.

However I do believe that we could create a simulation of what Jamzinia would be like when eventually we do indeed gain land. I know one day that we can put Jamzinia on a real map and I think we should simulate that instead. I feel that if we simulated our nation that this could be a really constructive thing to do.

We need to show people that we believe in what we are doing, we need to think outside the box and show other nations that we are not playing what they are playing but are in fact setting the pace for other nations to follow.

Keith, your point of view is far from offending! I'm only to happy to hear what you have to say. With regards to the idea itself, it's fantastic! so for example, you suggest we create maps in the form of plans for when we gain land? and the blender renders can be designs? Almost like a series of artist's impressions of what Jamzinia will look like?

Yes, the only problem we face is that we can't predict how much land we have and what shape it will be in. I suggest that we plan for any outcome, so at least we aren't planning something that will never be real but instead we are being realistic in what we can achieve and take it from there. I think we should use our 3 city names and also draw plans of a statue in honour of one Great citizen.

The plans for things such as statues and monuments shouldn't be a problem, as no matter how much land we own we can replicated the item in some form. Maybe we should design the landmarks that we wish to represent us as part of our National Identity.

In regards to city planning, I believe we should begin with our capital, Klemmenstadt. We should map the Klemmenstadt equivilent's to items such as Tower Bridge, London bridge, The Tower Of London, Trafelgar Square, Big Ben, The London Eye, in London. For example we could begin with Klemmenstadt's central square, deciding what should be included and in what design. This shouldn't be a problem in terms of future sizing as our capital shall be the centre piece of our nation, and therefore we must have a decent ammount of land to even begin considering building Jamzinia.

The pans aren't limited to places, or items, we could also create artists impressions of celebrations such as Founders Day. Hopefully then, the designs will serve as a reminder of what our celebrations should be about, and what events should take place.

I remember once I worked on a building that had the same foot print as a football ground. It was three floors high and all open plan. I remember thinking that on the second floor you could oh built about 1000 apartments and on the first floor another 1000. Then on the ground floor you could have a whole city down stairs of shop restarunts and cinema's and thing like that. Come to think of it the place was probably a lot bigger than a football stadium and was an old aircraft hanger called skyways house. both ends of the building were probably 100 tall glass and I imagine 250,000 people could easily live there. Outside was lots of land and we could grow things there and have cattle. What I'm trying to say is that if we had four or more of them we would have an impressive population and the footprint would be really small and I don't think it would be that highly populated.

So, in that instance plans of a space effective yet classy nature? It may be a good idea to plan several options (as I think you said originally), then we could review the situation once we acquire land and choose the plan to suit us best. For instance we could have four or five varied plans for accomodation (and in the above case commercial units combined), and four or five plans for varied landmarks & landscapes.

Environmentally friendly does appeal, as does space effective measures.

Yes I believe the Venus Project could be a very good place to research our ideas.

What we need to do is draw up ideas from us and citizens. Maybe do a vote on whom the ' special citizens' should be. Or we could leave that bit for now and start plans on what thing should look like. I think that these should be the key areas we think about.

1. space effective.

2. energy efficient.

3. being self sufficient would be important also.

Maybe we should form a committee to discuss specific designs and ideas. This project will be like no other, it is a long term project that needs serious commitment and dedication.

I personally think simulation is awesome, and reflects micronationalism perfectly. There's a limit to what 4 mates can do with a nation, but millions of "citizens" can do a lot more. Plus, no macronation has so few citizens they can't get a football team together; at least simulating these gives the impression of realism.
