Welcome to Jamzinia! I can understand how confusing it all must seem to yourself having just experienced our site for the first time, but I'll do my best to explain the basics of Micronationalism and our country that is Jamzinia; Micronationalism is a hobby where people engage in taking part in often online communities that carry out their day to day lives as if they are truely a country. The seriousness varies from nation to nation. Some take it extremely seriously, others not so. More can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicronationalismHere in Jamzinia the seriousness varies quite a bit. We aim mainly to build a small yet close community where we can talk to one another, make aims to improve the nation, participate in real life activities, and generally carrry out our business as a micronation. We are a country. An online one be it - Although we do own 2 square foot of woodland which is in truth a novelty. The great thing about micronationalism is that it's fun, and you can make a difference. All the members of the community are refered to as 'citizens' of that country. Therefore all our members are our citizens. In Jamzinia we involve ourselves in the simulationalist side of things (the cyber side of the hobby) and also the macronationalist side of things (taking part in real life activities such as our up and comming football match and our online shop). Our online shop sells Jamzinian merchandise. All profits of the shop are added to the funding of Jamzinia which our Chancellor of the Exchequer then budgets. Jamzinia is ruled on a constitutional monarchy which has been the only form of rule since the beginning in August 2005. I am the current reigning monarch and founder, King James I. Since the founding day we have thrived on the hope of recognition as a country along with building a strong and trusting community. Something that is rare to find today. There are many things going on in Jamzinia that citizens can become involved in - too many to explain. These can be found at various places on the board should you wish to know more. I hope I have given you a small insight into this wonderful hobby and the country that is Jamzinia. If you need anything else answering please do not hesitate to contact me again. The 'JD' stands for Jamzinian Dollars, which is our online currency. Each time a post it made JD$3 are added to your total. This is a novelty really and has no true value as such. You mentioned a friend asked you to check out this site, if you could tell me who that was they may be entitled to a reward. If you are still interested in us please reply and I'll talk you through the easy steps of applying for citizenship of Jamzinia. Thanks and I hope to hear from you again soon, King James I of Jamzinia

jeffklib was the one that reffered me. I was also wondering however what sort of things are available in this new nation. And another thing is what would happen if war was declared on our micronation?

jeffklib is a well respected citizen of ours and a senior member of the nation. You are asking some fair questions my friend. If a war is declared between 2 micronations then it is fought in a place called recwars. We always win!!

Sort of - Recwars are simulated forms of war in micronationalism. Each nation has a military budget - that is worked out by activity levels. The budget is the used to buy military items such as troops, planes, tanks, etc. The nations at war then take it in turns to posts a 'story' of their moves - in the presence of a recwar judge who ensures that everything is kept realistic and fair.
So are you planning to stick around HB? It would be great if you would like to become a citizen!

it's not really in turns...
and i think you're military is counted under CIS... but this has advantages, it gives nations who wouldn't have been able to have nukes the ability to have nukes... it means you only have to pay once for the whole thing as opposed to each nation paying...
