It seems so hard to track what government department has done what in this last term (if anything) so I wondered whether asking for department reports every 6 weeks would help things? It would motivate people to get things done as they would be presenting their work to their fellow country men. The reports wouldn't have to be long, just a short intro explaining the most significant development, a few bullet points explaining the other work and a conclusion explaning what they hope to have done in time for the next report. Thoughts?

aparently no one has thoughts erm it seems a good idea but people might go over the top on the reports and write several pages on practically nothing and waste time

Aye, in my opinion the best way to show you're doing your job is to actually do it, people will notice, and appreciate it, take my word for it.

I guess they would show you've done something, but if doing something doesn't show that already then have you done it properly?
