Seen as I have been talking about setting up a monastery within Jamzinia. On Sunday I visited my local church for the first time. What really struck me is how similar the church is to a micronation. It is a community of people coming together under a belief, everyone was really friendly and I really enjoyed myself. I will be attending church again this weekend and have invited the Vicar around to my house for a cup of tea and a chat. This is something that Jamzinia has indirectly brought into my life and for that I am thank full.post

See the thing is though is that what I have learned is even if you are not a religious man there is a lot of moral lessons to learn from religion. I really enjoyed what I listened to on Sunday and must admit some of the situations I have been in since then have had a better understanding from these lessons than before. I really think religion is something that should be paid attention to, even if people don't believe in God and Jesus. Religion teachers you a code of conduct that makes you a better person in society.

I totally agree Keith. If you look back at Britain's society prior to the 20th Century, there were alot more closer communities than there are now. Obviously it's not just the decrease in church-goers, it's also to do with the invention of the motor car, thus people were able to travel and experience new things, but I do think the moral values that the church used to bring to peoples lives was certainly a positive thing. I think it's wonderful that Jamzinia has helped bring this into your life. Going to church not only involves you in religion, and as you say the moral aspects, but it also brings a sence of a tightened community of friends. In it's aims it is quite similiar to Jamzinia.
Keep us updated. You could mention Jamzinia to the vicar, explain to him what our aims and moral values are. I'm sure he'd find it interesting.

I must admit I felt very refreshed and calm. I noticed a few little changes in my life, well big changes really but I'm not about to announce any miracles just yet. Although one thing that did happen was on Sunday I really needed some work in my business because its been really, really quiet then as soon as I got back from church my phone went with 3-4 months of work. Then a job came up for next Sunday morning and I thought to myself funny that, its as if I'm getting tested so I turned the job down and looked up in a sarcastic kind of way and said to myself your testing me aren't you? Then as soon as I did that my phone went and I got a university to clean and two other jobs straight after. Now I'm not screaming miracles but it does make me look up and wonder. GO ON LOOK UP I BET YOU DYING TO!

For sure Keith I absolutely understand you talking about Jamzinia. I certainly didn't mean what I said in a sarcastic way. I was only pulling your leg. I'm open minded when it comes to religion and even though I do not attend church I would like to think I lead a Christian based lifestyle. In other words I do tend to use what the general moral convictions are in Christianity as guidelines to my life. I do not believe in sex before marriage. But not for the religious reasons, purely because I think if someone is willing to have a child with their partner then they should be prepared to show that they are prepared to spend the rest of their life with them. One of the main principles of Christianity is to show you are a nice person and as the bible says to "Love thy neighbour". It is those sort of things that make me an indirect follower of the principles of christianity. I cannot stand people who are predujice to religious people, it's pure ignorance to take the piss and joke around.

Remember that as a Christian we are told to pray alone in a room with our door shut. It is seen as a bad thing to boast about praying and stuff like that. They tell you to pass on the words of Jesus but not to act all flashy about your beliefs. I've got to admit that there is more to life than what we see. I mean I don't see the point in working until your exhausted and then dying. There has to be more to it. Another thing is people say " Yeah well this science, that science." But compared to God we would be like Ants trying to work out what a Human was thinking. If we knew he existed then people would be good knowing they were being tested. I'm sure the creator of all things would be clever enough to cover his tracks and observe from a distance.
