I've recieved a quote from Prodirect Soccer regarding the purchase of a national kit for us. We have two options. Both options of kit include options of crest printing, sponsor printing, and a name and number on the back of the shirt.
Option 1
www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.asp?PID=PDS-052-001-266&DEPT=052&BRAND=1&SS=1&GROUP=ATABELA
The costs are broken down into the following;
Shirt - £10.20
Shirt Numbering (Back) - £3.50
Sponsor Logo - £3
Club Badge - £3
Player Name - £2
Therefore £21.70 per outfield completed shirt with the list of options above, all included. The purchase of 13 of these shirts works out at £282.10. This added to £6.80 per pair of shorts, 13 lots of, £88.40 for the lot. £5.96 per pair of socks works out at £77.35 and £447,85 in total.
Option 2
The option that I would love to take as I really do like the design of the shirt, however obviously the money is an issue;
www.prodirectsoccer.com/prodinfo.asp?PID=PDS-052-001-173&DEPT=052&BRAND=1&SS=1&GROUP=AAQUIL
Unfortunately the shirt itself is £19.55 rather than our first option's £10.20
Shirt - £19.55
Shirt Numbering (Back) - £3.50
Sponsor Logo - £3
Club Badge - £3
Player Name - £2
Therefore £31.05 per shirt, and £403.65 for 13. This added to £6.80 per pair of shorts, 13 lots of, £88.40 for the lot. £5.96 per pair of socks works out at £77.35 and £569.40 in total.
Obviously as both kits include printing of sponsors we could potentially recoup some of the costs in that. Each shirt works out at £3 for the sponsor, and therefore £39 per 13 shirts. We would be looking at selling the sponsor rights to our kit for £90-£150 ideally.
With regards to 'raising' this ammount of money we obviously aren't going to get anything like this ammount by merely saving or hoping for generous donations. Therefore I've decided that I'm going to compete in various events for charity where half of the money I raise goes to Cancer Research Uk and the other half towards our kit.
