The Jamzinian Blender Art Festival is an open exhibition of art work created on the freeware professional standard rendering programme, Blender. Blender can be downloaded free of charge from www.blender.org many useful tutorials can be found on youtube by typing "blender tutorial". This festival is to encourage Jamzinian citizens to explore and experiment with the programme and hopefully have fun whilst learning in the process. The festival shall be open for a month so you have plenty of time to work on and submit your entrys. The level of Blender is absolutely superb, (it was in fact used in Spiderman 2), however it takes great time and effort to understand blender and even longer to create a half decent piece. With practise though, the effort is well worth it. And as usual all work entered will be transfered to the national appreciation of art society once the festival is over.

Here's a render I did from scratch. The lighting is poor, as is the drawing as whole really, but as an experiment and as part of my learning curve of Blender I'm pleased with it; (It's a cup on a table, with water splashing into it)

Just downloaded the program. Wow how in depth. I was expecting something like paint brush. Give me a few days to get my head around it and I'll knock something together.

Great, here's a tutorial that may come in useful - uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-rnq0T8gHWQ (That guy is probably the best on the net at giving tutorials, does them really slow and explains everything. He's done more, so if you do that then click on his name and look for the others)

I downloaded blender before once and it ran really slow and didn't really do anything.... I'll try again because it might have been a faulty download...
Would i be allowed to enter a Prodesktop thing i made? Prodesktop is a 3d object manipulation programme like Blender but there's this throphy i made for the micro world cup but it was never used... I'll like to dust it off and show it...
