Maybe we should have a national holiday. Were we all spend our time in the general section of the boards having a good old talk. Without talking politics. Then after a short break of having a laugh and a joke we could get down to some serious business.post

I wouldn't mind, but I don't see how any real change would occur.

Well, the idea is that all our citizens could come together and enable them to enjoy each others company in a relaxed manner. I was just toying with the idea that maybe some citizens see the idea of having responsibilities on a regular basis as an aspect that could put them off micronationalism. Constantly I feel we maybe putting citizens under pressure to pursue responsibilities that they may find hard.
I was thinking that maybe if we came together in a social way that citizens may benefit from this and this may refresh their ideas and could give them the hunger desired to pursue new goals and challenges.

I suppose that sounds acceptable.
When will it take place?

I suppose it would depend on what other programs are running. If the census is coming up again in the near future and then elections. Maybe we should aim at having a national holiday after that time.

The census begins the first of February, and the elections will finish partway through the month. Perhaps it could be sometimes around the 20th.

I suppose we could begin looking at a national holiday of some sort, it does after all add to our culture, providing we have brainstormed and outlined the ways in which it should be celebrated and also what it is exactly we are commemorating. Any ideas?

Maybe for a week after the elections. What we could do is have a week off to celebrate the Prime Minister. Then we could have our own holiday part of the boards so we could just post to each other in that part of the boards. Then when work time comes around again we could lock them until next year. They would be like Cyber cabins for us!

And we would roast marshmallows in RP form.
Cyberlicious.

I honestly do think that if we came together socially as a nation in this way it would be an enjoyable time. I for one would look forward to it with great enthusiasm.

Im all for this idea. One of the royalists policies in our last manifesto was maybe we could have a holiday on a specific date prior to each election. some kind of prior-electoral celebration. It would happen three times a year as its quaterly.

But paying particular emphasis to "with a valid purpose", I'm not sure this case complies to your original policy.

Unfortunately, any holiday could be argued to have a proper purpose: to relax the populace from their duties.
To prevent that argument, I assert that the policy means there must be a base on which the holiday occurs. Perhaps a post-election celebration?

A time before the election to gather thoughts would be more useful than one after it
