Lewis, i think you may be a bit out of the woods compared to the other members. that goes for me as well.
somewhere central would be best, even better if one of our members lives near there

Another option regarding goals would be to hire a place with goals already there, that would save a bit of hassle. Also i think it will be easier if one nation were the 'hosts' and organised a venue close to them because i think it might be hard to organise a venue in a central place if no-one knows the area. Im based in Leeds or Kent but will be in Africa until June next year so it will be hard for me to host.

I'm located in lincolnshire as well as James. How big would squad size be or would It be the choice of the teams ? I don't know if any of you have heard of Powerleague its a 5-a-side league thing nationwide I think. They usually have pretty good facilities. That would be an idea for the venue?

I'm not THAT out of the woods. I'm not exactly a Shetlander. But I think we should move it around, ecuase it'll cost us a bomb every year to get to England. (it would be theirst time Ive ever Been to england too )

I still think rather than limiting it to having it somewhere where one of us lives (nations hosting it) we should pick a venue that is as easy for most of as possible to travel to. So for 2008, do we have any suggestions? Possibly Yorkshire or Derbyshire?

We can't hold it in the same place every year. Remember how much publicity this will possibly get us.
For 2008, Yorkshire should be fine. How often will this be held?

Ok the main concern I have about switching the venues around is the problems in traveling it may cause for the majority of the members. I realise yourself and Craitman are in difficult situations due to you both being at different ends of the country, but the thing that concerns me is that should we switch it around to such an extent that it is being held in Scotland and the west country, the number of participants may be significantly lower than if it was to be held in a central location. Now, I'm not saying we shouldn't switch it about a bit, because I'm all for that, I just mean maybe we should switch it about between say 4 or 5 of England's central counties, some being held in more Northern England, some being held in more southern England to ease the journey for people such as yourself and Craitman. I do sympathise deeply with you both over the issue and I would be prepared to discuss the possibility of someway compensating you for having to travel so far, maybe if we can raise enough in our fundraising we could offer you a certain ammount towards either your traveling or accomodation costs.
On the 2008 venue issue, are there any further comments to holding the MFF 2008 WC in Yorkshire?
(The World Cup will be annual)

Annual 8is fine, as for Southern England, I'd be ok with that. Its part of the deal, you tavel a short distance one year, long the next. Also you get to see parts of the UK you wouldn't normally see. As for competators losing intrest, I think that if you want to compete that badly, it doesn't matter where it is held.

Ok. I've been looking at a number of potential venues and have sent the following inquiry to the Great Yorkshire Showground;
"Hello, I wonder if you could help me - I am looking to organise a relatively large 5-aside football tournament in 2008, and am looking at a number of potential venues. I just wondered whether the Great Yorkshire Showground would be available for hire for such an event.If you could get back to me by email as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time."
Once I hear back from them I shall let you all know whether we can begin discussing it as a potenial venue.

ok, Reasonably large? I don't think it's THAT large. And be aware that it may cost a bomb.

That's what inquiring is for. You don't know unless you ask. And obviously we wouldn't be hiring the whole ground (Theres over 200 acres)

Yorkshire? you serious? From me to Yorkshire is almost twice as far as Hamland to Yorkshire. If we have it there, then it must be in Dorset the time after... To prove my point - (this is just an example, and roughly where each of us are based) saying that, i might be going on holiday to Yorkshire next summer, but not with any of my fellow countrymen

Ok, To compromise, I'll do you a deal - Providing I am driving by then, I'll pick you up at Birmingham? I can also take you as well if you like Kris?
